Minor Surgery Service

The longstanding specialist minor surgery treatment service led by Dr Larchet and Dr O'Neill has been running at Borough Green Medical Practice since 2005.  Our Borough Green team has grown and now also includes Mr Marcos Katchburian (MSBOT FRCS (Orth), Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who performs carpal tunnel surgery Dr Jeremy Bland, Consultant Neurophysiologist, King's College Hospital.

Expert clinical assessment, including Dermoscopy and diagnosis of solitary uncertain skin lesions.

• Vasectomy (Dr Mandal)
• Excision of skin lesions - Cysts, dermatofibroma, papilloma, haemangioma, large lipoma
• Basal cell carcinoma - simple flaps & advancements
• Ingrowing toe nail - Zadek's, Heifetz, wedge excision and phenolisation
• Joint injections, trochanteric bursitis, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis
• Injection sclerotherapy - simple haemorrhoids (under 40 years of age), Procto - rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Carpal tunnel syndrome - nerve condution testing (Dr Bland), carpal tunnel injection, and Carpal Tunnel Decompression Surgery (Mr Katchburian)

Referrals should be made directly to Dr Paul Larchet, by the E-Referral Service (Please look under surgery not otherwise specified / lumps and bumps - also under carpal tunnel syndrome), or send by post, fax or secure email to our central bookings office (details below).

The patient will be offered a consultation as soon as possible, following which appropriate treatment can be started.  Patients requiring surgery will be offered a second appointment.  Please do not hesitate to contact me should you need to discuss any specific cases by phone, fax or email.
